THE BASICS
The answer is yes, and let us explain why. Sweating is one of the important ways in which toxins leave the body, so don't think of it as the enemy. However, Mr. Pitts will ensure that you stay smelling fresh and odour-free, without inhibiting your sweat glands. Be mindful that when switching from a chemical-based deodorant to a natural one, some people may experience a detox period of around 2 weeks as their body gets used to the change.
Mr. Pitts is formulated to be extra gentle and caring on your skin. When switching to a natural deodorant, on the rare occasion, some people may experience a temporary rash-like redness in their armpits. This can be due to one of Mr. Pitts’ star ingredients, bicarb soda, being very efficient in drawing out toxic wastes which can react with the skin. A positive thing and worth persisting through as those waste products are better out of your body than in!
However, if a rash or irritation is burning or uncomfortable, please discontinue use and apply coconut oil for the next few days to calm the irritation and soothe the skin. Once the irritation has cleared, if you wish you can try using Mr. Pitts again.
If you have sensitive skin and are prone to irritation after shaving your armpits, it is recommended to shave at night and apply Mr. Pitts the next morning. Our FRESH range is recommended for sensitive skin.
Used daily, a jar of Mr. Pitts should last between 2-3 months. Make sure you use within 12 months of opening.
Our Formulations
The ACTIVE range contains twice the amount of our active odour neutralising ingredient for stronger, longer lasting protection. The ACTIVE range deodorant pastes are white in colour.
The FRESH range contains the addition of kaolin clay, which is gentle on the skin and effective at odour control and moisture absorption. The FRESH range deodorant pastes are a very light earthy colour due to the naturally occurring minerals present in kaolin clay.
Both ACTIVE and FRESH deodorant pastes are clear when applied.
Mr. Pitts comes in two captivating plant-powered natural scents: MAN and WOMAN.
Mr. Pitts MAN is grounding, warm, earthy and camphorous with a musky heart and refreshing citrus top note, indulging feelings of relaxation and contentment.
We liken it to a walk through the forest after rain: “…trodden wet leaves, damp wood and musky earth underfoot, met with an atmospheric embrace of fresh pine, subtle florals and clean citrus...”

Middle notes: Rose geranium, cajeput
Base notes: Cedarwood, patchouli, vetiver
Mr. Pitts WOMAN is distinctively green, citrusy, fresh and uplifting to inspire the mind and invigorate the senses while a warm hug of cajeput and orange soothe the soul and a flourish of ethereal floral and arboraceous notes encourage you to let go, relax and be free.
We liken it to a refreshing and indulgent day spa experience: “…leave the world outside and lose yourself in uplifting scents reminiscent of pine forests, citrus groves and Moroccan mint tea, awakening the senses of a weary body and tired mind, ensuring you find your way back to your soul…”

Postage costs for all product returns are the responsibility of the customer and will not be refunded. Once the products are received and processed, a refund will be issued.
